PulseWatch ("we," "our," or "us") provides a website uptime monitoring service. This Privacy Policy explains what personal and operational data we collect, how we use and store it, and what rights you have regarding your data.
By using PulseWatch (the "Service"), you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
1. What data we collect
We collect the following categories of data:
- Account data. When you sign in, we collect the email address you provide. This is the only personal identifier required to use the Service.
- Monitoring data. When you add a URL to monitor, we store that URL and a label you assign to it. We also store the results of each check against that URL, including: HTTP status code, response time (in milliseconds), timestamp of the check, and whether the check succeeded or failed.
- Usage data. We record when you add or remove a monitored URL and when you view your dashboard. We do not collect IP addresses, browser fingerprints, or analytics data beyond what is necessary to operate the Service.
2. Cookies and session storage
When you sign in, the Service sets a session cookie in your browser. This cookie identifies your session and expires after 7 days. We do not use cookies for tracking, advertising, or analytics. You can delete this cookie at any time through your browser settings, which will sign you out.
The Service also uses browser localStorage to cache dashboard state for a smoother experience. No personal data is transmitted to third parties through cookies or local storage.
3. How we store and secure data
Data is stored on servers operated by PulseWatch's infrastructure provider. We use industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to stored data is restricted to the PulseWatch operator and is not shared with or sold to any third party.
4. Data retention
- Check history is retained for 7 days on the free plan. After 7 days, check records older than this window are automatically deleted.
- Account data (email address and monitored URLs) is retained for as long as you have an active account.
- Deleted data. When you remove a monitored URL, its check history is deleted immediately. When you stop using the Service, your data remains in our system until you request deletion.
5. Data sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties. The only exception is if we are required by law (e.g., a valid legal request from a government authority) or to protect our legal rights.
6. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access the data we hold about you. You can view all your monitored URLs and check history through the dashboard.
- Correct your data by editing labels or URLs through the dashboard.
- Delete your data by removing individual URLs or requesting full account deletion by contacting us.
- Portability — your data is viewable and exportable through the dashboard at any time.

7. International transfers
Your data may be processed in any country where our infrastructure providers operate. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer. We take steps to ensure adequate data protection, including Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable.
8. No sensitive data
Do not submit sensitive personal data (health information, financial account numbers, government IDs, or passwords) to PulseWatch. Our service is designed for monitoring public-facing URLs, not for storing personal or sensitive records.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and note the change on our website. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
